Chadwick T. Kenyon

Honoring a Hero

The namesake of Chad’s Champions, Chadwick T. Kenyon, was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.  An avid sports participant in his childhood, he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.  He was deployed to Iraq, where he served as a Navy Corpsman with the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.  He was tragically killed in action, along with two comrades, on August 20, 2006, in Al Anbar Province, when an improvised explosive device struck their vehicle.  Chad’s Champions hopes to honor his memory and his legacy by engaging in this endeavor.

Chad was very active in his youth with an avid love for sports. Many of the close friendships Chad formed during his youth can be attributed to sports, especially little league and Lute Olson Basketball Camp. Our forever mission is to continue honoring Chad’s name and sacrifice by giving our underprivileged youth an opportunity to stay active in sports and wellness activities and forge long lasting friendships as Chad did growing up.
